Powering Up Policy: An Event for Youth Civic Engagement

Join Ignite Afterschool, World Youth Connect, and StoryArk for an event to highlight youth leadership and civic engagement. This is an opportunity for young people ages 13-24(ish) to come together to refine and build their public policy skills with other passionate young people! Hear recommendations from the Cannabis Education and Awareness Council for Young People (CEAC) on how Minnesota's new recreational cannabis law impacts young people, learn the process of how a bill becomes a law in Minnesota, and practice how to center your personal story as part of advocacy. This is a space for young leaders in policy and civic engagement to build relationships and power together, in partnership with adult allies who are also encouraged to attend.
